Board Members
The council's board of directors is comprised
of successful professionals in business, finance, the
law, and public affairs. Each board member is dedicated
to creating an organization that will help a growing
number of Washington and Israel based companies create
stronger and more vibrant commercial alliances with
each other.
Eyal Levy - President
Eyal is the managing partner at the
venture capital fund GTD Capital LLC. He was previously
the founder and managing partner at AIG Orion Fund, a
venture capital fund which focused on Israeli technology
companies. Eyal was the president and CEO of Pelephone
Communications Ltd., Israel's first and leading cellular
operator. Eyal served as vice president of personal communications
products at Motorola Inc. He co-founded Medicom Computers
Ltd., an Israeli software company which merged with Ready
Systems in the US. He also served as the COO of Pi Corp.,
a Seattle based startup which was sold to EMC.
Charles Broches - Board Member
Chuck has accumulated over 20 years
of experience in public affairs, government relations,
lobbying, issues management and research at the federal,
state and local levels of government. He was Legislative
Director to former Congressman John Miller from Washington
State and has been the Director for Oregon and Washington
States for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee
(AIPAC). Charles was Assistant Executive Vice President
of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Today he
is the principal of The Broches Group, LLC, a public affairs
and government relations consulting firm that provides
strategic assistance to companies and organizations.
Michael W. Brown - Board
Member
Michael serves on several boards including
EMC Corp., VMWare Inc., Administaff, Inc., Thomas Weisel
Partners Group Inc., and Pipeline Trading Systems. He
is a member of the University of Washington Business School
Advisory Board, and the Particle Economics Research Institute. Michael
served as chairman of the NASDAQ Stock Market board of
directors and as a past governor of the National Association
of Securities Dealers. He joined Microsoft Corporation
in 1989 and served as treasurer and chief financial officer.
Michael spent 18 years with Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Bernel Goldberg - Board Member
Bernel is an experienced domestic
and international business attorney. He has given legal
and business advice to clients ranging from individuals
and start-ups to Fortune 100 multinationals on projects
throughout the world. Bernel lived and worked as an attorney
in Israel for eight years. He is now Northwest Center's
Senior Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs.
Guy Nadivi - Board Member
Guy is a business development professional and President of SolutionBridge, a professional services consulting firm. Previously, Guy founded three technical consulting firms, one of which was acquired by a publicly traded NASDAQ company. He has authored numerous articles of both a business and technical nature, most recently for Forbes Magazine.
Dana Berenson - Executive
Director
Dana has extensive experience in business
development and management. Previously, at the Israel
Export and International Cooperation Institute, Dana specialized
in creating business opportunities for Israeli companies
in international markets.
